Eligibility and Requirements

ELIGIBILITY

MINIMUM DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

All candidates must either hold (or expect to obtain) a BA degree from a recognised and accredited university or an equivalent first-cycle degree earned in countries where BA degrees are not offered. Diploma (or supplement) should include information about holders eligibility to continue education in the country of issue. If such information is not provided additional statement from candidate should be submitted.

Candidates possessing an MA degree may also apply. A degree in a relevant subject area is preferred; however, all applicants who can demonstrate interest in European Studies are encouraged to apply.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Candidates whose first language is not English are required to prove their English language proficiency with a recognised certificate documenting command of the English language on a level specified by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. This does not apply to English native speakers, graduates of study programmes where the language of instruction was English.

Candidates who do not have a language certificate at the stage of submitting the application may request an interview which will verify their level of competency in the English language . To successfully pass the interview, the student must earn at least 60% of total points.

Proficiency in the Polish language is not required.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

The Centre for European Studies requires all candidates to submit the following:

 

When applying online, prospective students must register for the field of study declaring one of the specialisation/double degree programme. Students may change their specialisation once accepted, if necessary.

Applicants have 20 minutes to complete the online application. Applicants are required to answer two short essay questions during this time. The statement of purpose is availble in the "See Also" column, so that applicants may plan their response.
