RESULTS: From over 340 applications from all around the world, 17 candidates were chosen to attend the Winter School 2015. Thank you for you interest!

This Winter School takes as its point of departure the increasing role of experts and expertise in democracies.

Who is an expert?

What is knowledge?

How can we reconcile expertise with various types of democracy?

What is the role of academia in contemporary society and what are the implications of public-private partnership?

What is the role of mass/social media in developing social movements and democracy?

ELIGIBILITY: The Winter School welcomes all countries' MA, Phd students as well as alumni or participants interested in the topic.

COSTS: Participants in the Winter School are expected to cover their own travel costs and the cost of living in Kraków during the programme, excluding accomodation which is covered. The organizers will also cover winter school materials, and participation in seminars. There is no other additional tutition fee.

APPLICATION: Due to the limited places, the participants will be chosen basis on the application. The application is available here and it should be send together with CV in Europass format by December 30th 2014 on the e-mail address: resproject@ces.uj.edu.pl . The results will be announced in the first week of January 2015.
